Everything, if not almost everything, in this book was a cliffhanger, and made me intrigued to know more. I have always been a person to believe in the afterlife, and this book strengthened my belief in that. “Haven’t you ever felt like there has to be more?” The book began with a boy, Seth, whose name we get to know later on in the novel he drowns, and at the end of the prologue, dies.
It was interesting that the author had invented an entirely new world, where people lived online, and when they died, they would enter the real world. I love how this book was centred around technology. I read A Monster Calls and am about to start the Chaos Walking trilogy. When I read this novel, I fell in love with Ness’ writing style and it made me want to read more books by him. More Than This by Patrick Ness, is a riveting, compelling and gripping read that left me asking for more because of the tension, terror and confusion it brings (in a good way).
